Drummoyne, Sydney, NSW

We had around three weeks in January to fill before our next long stay which we had booked in Forster, NSW. It was the summer holiday season during the COVID-19 pandemic when there were no restrictions on travel inside NSW, but the international and state borders were mostly closed.

We didn’t have anything booked and accommodation prices had skyrocketed to almost double the normal amount due to the excess demand caused by nobody being able to go on holiday outside NSW.

Our friends came to our rescue and they offered to let us stay in their apartment in Drummoyne which they weren’t using at the time. We spent the three weeks working and didn’t really go anywhere much except for a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains to stay with those same friends.
