Margaret River, WA
Feb 2024 - 7 days
We spent a week in Margaret River and used it as a base to visit Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.
The town itself was pleasant enough, although a bit over-touristy as it is in a famous wine region. We ended up not actually visiting a winery, but we did drink some Margaret River wine while we were there.
We stayed in a studio flat that had been built over the top of a garage at a house in suburban Margaret River about a 30 minute walk from the town centre.
Each afternoon after work we either drove out to the National Park (15 – 30 minute drive), or walked to the local brewery on the other side of town (40 minute walk).
The good
- Nice accommodation
- Walkable to a brewery
- Close to coastal National Park
- Great weather for the whole week
