It was a hot and sunny Sunday and we had decided to walk from where we were staying in Aldinga Beach to Moana – following the coastal trail. We had walked parts of this trail many times before, but had never actually walked all the way in one go. The trail was a mix of beach walking and clifftop walking and the area is famous for its beautiful red cliffs.

We set off at about 10.30am and our first stop was for a coffee at the Star of Greece kiosk in Port Willunga. Our second stop was to eat our packed lunch in a shady forest near the car park at the back of Maslin Beach. After a total distance of about 10km we reached the outskirts of Moana at just before 2pm and took the bus back to Aldinga Beach.
