Cathedral Range State Park, VIC

Day Trip From: Doreen, Melbourne
June 2024

Cathedral Range State Park was an hour and a half away from Doreen and we arrived on a cold foggy morning.

The first trail that we walked was a return trip to Little Cathedral Peak via Neds Saddle – which was 7km return plus a small detour to Neds Peak. Any views from Neds Peak had long since been blocked by trees, but there were good views from Little Cathedral Peak.

The track up to Little Cathedral Peak involved a fair bit of climbing over rocks, and so the whole walk took about 5 hours including lunch at the top.

When we got back down we took the Little River Trail to Cooks Mill and back, which was 5.5km return and took us less than two hours as it was pretty flat.
