Cape Jervis walk, SA
Day Trip From: Normanville

November 2025
Cape Jervis was a 30 minute drive from our base in Normanville. We went there to walk a bit of the Wild South Coast Way (part of the Heysen Trail).
Our plan was to go for a couple of hours to a point somewhere past Fishery Beach and then turn around and come back. This would give us a return walk distance of around 15km total.
The track to our turnaround point had nice coastal scenery – but the flies were a bit annoying. We managed though to find a windy enough spot on the beach to keep the flies away – this became our lunch stop.
On the way back the flies became so awful that we practically ran the return journey just to get it over with. There were AT LEAST 100 flies on each of us?!
