Myponga Reservoir Reserve was a 15 minute drive from our base in Normanville, and we visited on a Sunday afternoon. It was a pretty quiet place and we only saw a few other people.

We parked at the ‘Pink Gum’ hub and then walked a loop of approximately 7km by combining the Kestrel Loop and the Lapwing Loop. It was a pleasant enough walk – but not very ‘wild’ feeling as the area consists mostly of old farmland and non-native tree plantations.
