Peak Head and Stony Hill, WA
March 2024
Peak Head and Stony Hill are located in Torndirrup National Park – a place that we had already visited twice during our time in Albany for various other walks and rock formations. This time we were back to do the Peak Head Walk (4.5km, 220m elevation) and visit Stony Hill.
Peak Head is the southernmost peak of the Torndirrup Peninsula, and it was a really nice walk with good views in all directions. We started the walk at 3.15pm on a sunny afternoon and were back in the car park at around 5pm without seeing a single other person on the trail.
Stony Hill is accessed from the same car park as Peak Head and there is a short 500m trail around the hill. There were good views all around and we did a bit of ‘off-trail’ rock scrambling to get some even better views.
