Port Macquarie and Old Bar, NSW

Day Trip From: Forster
February 2021

Port Macquarie is 110km north of Forster, and we went there one Sunday for a day trip.

We had been to Port Macquarie previously – way back in 2011 – and we decided to go back to the same places again for another look. This meant that our first stop was the Sea Acres Rainforest centre for a smoothie – followed by a walk along the nearby coast.

Our next stop was a visit to the Koala Hospital – a place where they look after and rehabilitate injured Koalas. Following this visit, we then headed to the main town beach and had a stroll along the coast from there.

We then left Port Macquarie, and on our way back to Forster we stopped in Old Bar – a small town on the coast near the mouth of the Manning River.
