Port Willunga, SA
We were back in Port Willunga after three years, and the last time that we there we had stayed for over three months. This stay was really just for hanging around and seeing if we still liked it as much as we did three years ago – which we did – although it was quite a lot busier than last time (which was during the COVID-19 pandemic).
We stayed in a really nice two bedroom cottage just a few minutes walk from the coast, and during our stay my sister LB came for a long weekend and also our friends JH and AM from New South Wales were still in the area in their camper van.
So we did quite a few tourist outings to the usual places, and I also went to Adelaide with AM to take photos of street art in the city.
The rest of the time we pretty much just went for walks to nearby Maslin Beach and Aldinga Beach. We also discovered a newly opened brewery at Snapper Point, as well as visiting our old favourite – Kickback brewery.
The good
- Always nice to be in the Port Willunga Area
- Great time of year for nice light on the red cliffs
- Friends and family visits
- Lovely garden with citrus trees
- Two breweries within walking distance
The not so good
- House ran out of gas and we had a day with no hot water
- Mouse died in the walls of the house which was quite smelly
