Red Banks Conservation Park, SA

Day Trip From: Watervale
March 2021

Red Banks Conservation Park was a fifty minute drive from our base in Watervale. We visited on a Sunday – arriving at about 1pm in order to have a packed lunch. The place was totally deserted.

The park surrounds Baldina Creek – a dried out creek with a few permanent waterholes. Parts of the creek have very high red-coloured banks – hence the name of the park.

We walked both of the trails in the park – the Landscapes of Change hike (5km loop), and the Campground to Oval hike (10 minutes each way).
