The Burrungkuy area of Kakadu has a few different walking tracks, and we arrived at around 11.15am and started with the Anbangbang Billabong trail – a one hour loop around a billabong with plenty of birdlife.

Connected to this trail was the Nawurlandja Lookout trail – a short walk up some rocks to a viewpoint – this took only around 30 minutes return.

After these two walks we drove around the corner and then followed the main 1.5km Burrungkuy rock art circuit – which had a link walk connected to it to get to the Nanguluwurr art site (about an hour each way).

By the time that we had finished all the walking it was approaching 5pm.
