Adventure Bay, TAS
Adventure Bay is one of the places on Bruny where there’s a lot of accommodation available – including a caravan park. Despite this, the long white sandy beaches were generally pretty peaceful (well, they were after 5pm – perhaps in the daytime they are rammed with people…). We went there in the early evening a few times to walk on the beaches, and then to look for the famous white wallabies of Bruny.
Bruny Island is known for having a population of albino wallabies, so of course we had to go looking for them. Our first evening wandering around looking at grassy areas was not successful – but just as we were about to give up the hunt on the second evening we found one! Yes, only one, but it was better than nothing 🙂
