Around Snug, TAS

Day Trip From: Snug
February 2023

There were a couple of areas which were within 20 minutes drive of Snug which we visited a few times. The first was the Blackmans Bay area, which had a fairy nice but busy beach, and was also home to a couple of nearby reserves where in theory we could find the rare forty-spotted pardalote. We went twice to the Peter Murrell conservation area and once to the Tinderbox Hills and of course there were no pardalotes to be seen…

We also went to Coningham Beach, which was a small beach just down from Snug which also had a nice clifftop walk along the coast to a rocky beach called Legacy Beach.
