The Great Ocean Drive, WA

Whilst Victoria has the Great Ocean Road, Esperance has the Great Ocean Drive – which is somewhat shorter at 40km in length, and is also a loop. We set off from West Beach where we were staying and drove about 5km to our first stop – Fourth Beach.

After a bit of a walk on the sand, we continued around the whole loop, stopping at some, but not all of the ‘official’ stops on the tourist blurb and getting out for a bit of a stroll and/or coffee at each stop. We left at around 9am and were back at around 12.30pm.

There was great coastal scenery, and we also stopped at a windfarm (which was no longer active), and a pink lake (which was no longer pink).
