The Ubirr area is probably the most famous part of Kakadu due to its prominent rock art. Because of this we arrived early at around 8.30am to try and beat the crowds.

There was a walking trail around the area that first went past lots of rock art, and then continued up to Nadab Lookout – a viewpoint on top of a large rocky outcrop.

The whole area is quite compact, and so by 10.15am we were ready for our next stop in the park.
