Deep Creek Conservation Park, SA
May 2021
Deep Creek Conservation Park is at the bottom of the Fleurieu Peninsula and it takes about an hour to get there from Goolwa. We went for a day trip and walked three of the hiking trails in the park.
The first trail that we went on was the Forest Circuit Walk – a 2.5km easy stroll through tall stringybark forest. We then drove onwards to Tapanappa Lookout and walked along the Deep Creek Cove hike towards the coast. We didn’t go all the way down to Deep Creek Cove – we just far enough along to get some views of the ocean.
After retracing our steps back to Tapanappa Lookout we drove to another area of the park and went on the Goondooloo Ridge Walk – a 4.5km return walk with plenty of kangaroos and a distant view of the ocean at the end.
