East Point Reserve, NT
Day Trip From: Humpty Doo

East Point Reserve is just outside the suburb of Fannie Bay in Darwin. We went there one afternoon and walked the East Point loop trail which was about 5km long. The trail followed the coast for a while before cutting inland and then rejoining the coast to complete the loop.
The reserve is home to lots of wallabies and we saw quite a few of them from the trail.
After we finished the walk we went to Fannie Bay for a coffee and then back to the reserve to follow the Mangrove Boardwalk trail. On this trail we spotted a collared kingfisher – a type of kingfisher that we had never seen before.
