Port Willunga is part of the famous McLaren Vale wine region, and the town of McLaren Vale was only around 15km away. There also happened to be a bus route between the two places – so we decided to go on a bus trip there and do some beer and wine tasting.

It was our first time on a bus since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but as South Australia was officially COVID free we figured that we weren’t very likely to catch COVID on the bus. It was still mandatory to wear a mask on public transport just in case COVID had been brought across the border from another state and hadn’t been found yet.

We spent around 5 hours in McLaren Vale and went to the Ogre Brewing Company, the McLaren Vale Hotel, Dal Mare Coffee Roasters, Oxenberry Farm, and Sabella.
