We never got to stay in Darwin itself during our time in the Top End, because the short time that we had booked to stay there ended up being cancelled because of a COVID-19 lockdown – our only time as Jazz Nomads that this happened.

But Humpty Doo and Bees Creek where we did actually stay were only 20 – 35 minutes drive away – so we went to the Darwin area many times – usually on at least one weekend day per week.

During our visits we went to the CBD, the Botanic Gardens, and Mindil Beach – with a coffee stop in Parap also being part of the usual routine.

We also went further afield in the Darwin area with trips to Nightcliff, East Point Reserve, and Lee Point.
