During our stay in Aldinga Beach we took a few trips to Adelaide, which was less than an hour’s drive away. Most times that we went we had lunch at Sit Lo – a Vietnamese restaurant with extremely delicious ‘bao’ and avocado smoothies.

We also went to try and find food and drink from Latin America – and on one visit we did a huge walk from South Terrace to Nailsworth – a round trip of about 20km. Yes, we walked all that way just because there was a Latino supermarket there.

The route that we took to ‘Latino House’ went through the Adelaide Parklands and the suburb of North Adelaide – so it turned out to be a pleasant and scenic walk for most of the time.

When we finally arrived though, it was a bit chaotic in Latino House – but persevering, we decided to order some hot chocolate with cheese (Colombian style) from the cafe.

Unfortunately it was very disappointing – lukewarm hot chocolate and the tiniest piece of cheese that you can imagine (which was still half-frozen after coming out of the freezer).
