Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, NT
Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is only a 20 minute drive from the Humpty Doo area and we went there at least once a week during our stay in the top end.
The reserve was full of birds (and some crocodiles) and there were two walking trails plus a lookout platform overlooking the flooded plain.
On most visits we would walk both the trails (Monsoon Forest Walk – 4.5km return, and Woodlands to Waterlilies Walk – 2km return) and then drive over the dam to the lookout area.
It was forbidden to walk across the dam because of the danger of crocodiles?!
